(sometimes it makes me feel like all the better parts of me are hid and only the bits i hate exposed to everyone define me in their eyes never who i really am at all and i feel so lost)

while all we know runs sweet and serpentine beneath your blood and mine
(i get stuck in my head caught up in the subtle turns of endless doubt 'til the riptide does forcefully pull me under and the silence in my dreams threatens to wash up and over me and i feel like ice)

run to me fold in on everything you doubt - let that lost part of you out and i'll try to make you okay
(whenever i'm alone something comes and shatters through the core of me with such a force that i am scared oh for my sanity - i am free to take my prison with me everywhere i go and i call it home, now)
